Steal an Egg value calculator: what a pet earns per second, overnight and over a day

What is a pet worth in Steal an Egg, and what does this Steal an Egg value calculator actually measure? In money per second, and in what that adds up to over a minute, an hour, a night and a day, because that is the only kind of worth the game publishes. Pick one of 265 pets (base incomes from the Steal An Egg Wiki infoboxes, read 12 October 2026, and its pet data module, read 22, 24 and 25 October), add a mutation, a size and the 2x Money pass and say how many copies you own, or type a total income you already see in game, and the tool multiplies it out. It will also tell you how long a target such as 100B takes to earn. There are no trade prices here, and the first section explains why.

Value here means income, not a trade price

Most 'value calculators' for Roblox games estimate what a pet would fetch in a trade. That cannot be done honestly for Steal an Egg. None of the sources this site uses documents a trading system: the official game description does not mention one, and the community wiki has no trading or values page. With no documented market there is nothing to measure, so this page publishes no trade values, no demand tiers and no 'worth X Rainbows' lists. Our values guide sets out why the lists you may find elsewhere are guesswork.

What can be measured is how much money a pet makes. The wiki lists a base income for every pet with an infobox, a multiplier for every colour mutation, and a formula for size. Multiply those together and you have a number that holds whether anyone wants to swap for the pet or not. That number is what the calculator returns, and what every worked example below is built on.

Five inputs, one multiplication

The wiki's Mutations page states the rule the tool follows: final income equals base income times the mutation multiplier times the size multiplier. When you pick a pet, the calculator adds two things you control on top of that: the 2x Money pass and the number of copies.

Every input, and where its number comes from:

  1. Pet or income. Choose one of 265 pets and the tool loads its listed base income (for example Kitsune, $1.8B/s). Or switch to typing an income per second directly, which is the faster route if you are reading a number off your pen; a typed figure is used as it is, and the four inputs below apply only to a picked pet.
  2. Mutation. None, Silver ×1.2, Bloom ×1.25, Golden ×2.5, Spirit Bloom ×2.5, Fractured ×2.75, Scrambled ×2.75, Parasite ×3 or Rainbow ×3.5, all from the wiki's Mutations page.
  3. Size. Normal, Giant ×3, Huge ×5, or a multiplier you type. Giant and Huge come from the wiki's own combination examples; the full weight formula is on our size calculator.
  4. 2x Money pass. The wiki's Gamepasses page lists X2 MONEY! at 399 Robux with the description 'Earn x2 more money'. Ticking it doubles the result.
  5. How many you own. Income is multiplied by the count, so five identical pets earn five times one.

How much is a 3.9 billion a second egg worth?

This is one of the questions people actually type, and it has a clean answer once 'worth' means earnings. A pet making $3.9B every second makes 60 times that in a minute, 3,600 times in an hour, and 28,800 times over eight hours. The table shows the result, alongside a second real query about 11B a second.

Switch the calculator to 'Type my income per second', enter 3.9B, and it returns the same rows. A typed income is used as it is, with no mutation, size or pass applied, so the figure should be the one you read in game, which already includes whatever your pet rolled. The wiki does not say whether the number shown on a pen counts the 2x Money pass, so the tool never doubles a typed figure; check whether the number changes when the pass is active before you double it yourself.

Period$3.9B per second$11B per second
1 second$3.9B$11B
1 minute$234B$660B
1 hour$14.04T$39.6T
8 hours (overnight)$112.32T$316.8T
24 hours$336.96T$950.4T
Our arithmetic on two typed incomes. 8 hours = 28,800 seconds; 24 hours = 86,400 seconds. T = trillion.

Overnight at 11B a second comes to $316.8T, with one caveat

The second query was 'if I made 11b money a second how much will I make overnight'. Taking overnight as eight hours, 11B × 28,800 is $316.8T. If the 11B does not yet include the 2x Money pass and you then buy it, the same night is worth $633.6T. A twelve-hour night would be $475.2T before the pass.

The caveat matters more than the multiplication. That total assumes the pet earns for the whole eight hours. The wiki does not document whether income keeps accruing while you are logged out, or whether there is a cap on offline earnings. So read the overnight row as 'what eight hours of earning is worth', which is exact, rather than 'what you will find when you log back in', which no source confirms. The calculator labels the row 'Overnight (8 hours)': eight hours of earning, nothing more.

Base value, and the hatch reward that equals exactly 100 seconds of it

'Base value' is the wiki formula's own term for the listed income of a normal-size, un-mutated pet. It is the number every multiplier works on, which is why the calculator always starts from it.

It also explains the other money figure on an egg's infobox: the hatch reward. We compared the two across the pet data. Of the 136 infoboxes in our table that list a cash hatch reward (data as of 25 October 2026), 126 show a reward of exactly 100 times their base income per second. Mutant Shark earns $215M/s and lists a $21.5b reward. Kitsune earns $1.8B/s and lists $180b. Axolotl earns $2.8K/s and lists $280k. Chicken earns $1/s and lists $100. The ten exceptions: Rhinotaur ($17.5M/s, reward $1.7b), Glyptodon ($22.5K/s, reward $2.2m), Spideron ($95K/s, reward $13m), Toro and Winged Lamb ($1.2m/s, reward $125m each), Pegasus ($1.3B/s, reward $140b), Candy Corn ($17.5K/s, reward $1.7M), Night Fang ($4M/s, reward $16M), Spirit World Guardian ($26B/s, reward $200B) and Voidseer Pumpkin ($12.5B/s, reward $1.4T). We quote those ten as listed rather than 'correcting' them.

So when someone asks 'how much is an egg worth' at the moment it hatches, the infobox answer is the reward, which for most pets is 100 seconds of the pet's base income. Everything after that is the pet's income per second, running for as long as you keep it. A Kitsune's reward is paid back by its own income in under two minutes; the 12-hour grow it took to get there is the real cost.

Same $5B/s, 18 hours against 5 minutes

Grow time is where two equal incomes stop being equal. World Burner, a Divine from Angels & Demons, lists $5B/s and a grow time of '18 hour' (infobox edited 11 October 2026). Nuceodile, a Secret from the Biohazard Egg, lists the same $5B/s and a grow time of '5 mins' on its infobox, where the income was raised from $500M/s on 11 October 2026. The wiki's own pet data module, which feeds its galleries, still lists Nuceodile at $500M/s, so the wiki disagrees with itself by a factor of ten; the calculator uses the infobox figure. On that figure the two are identical per second, and the calculator gives both $18T an hour and $144T over eight hours.

The difference is the wait. Eighteen hours is 216 times five minutes. In the time one World Burner egg grows, a Nuceodile that has already hatched earns $5B × 64,800 seconds, which is $324T. Rarity name does not settle it either way: on its infobox figure the Secret matches the Divine on income and beats it by a wide margin on time.

The wiki's Gamepasses page also lists X2 Growth Speed! at 467 Robux, described as 'Eggs grow x2 faster!'. Taken at its description, that would bring the World Burner's 18 hours to 9 and a Kitsune's 12 hours to 6. The wiki does not give more detail on how the pass applies, so the calculator shows the listed grow time unchanged and leaves the halving to you.

The chart puts twelve real pets side by side: what each earns in eight hours at base income, with its listed grow time in the label. Event pets whose infobox lists no grow time are left out of it.

From 7 minutes to 413 days: the time-to-earn box

The last output turns the question round. Type a target, say 100B, and the calculator divides it by your income per second and reports hours and minutes.

The spread is enormous. A plain Mutant Shark at $215M/s reaches 100B in about 465 seconds, or 7 minutes 45 seconds. A plain Axolotl at $2.8K/s needs about 35.7 million seconds for the same 100B: roughly 9,921 hours, or 413 days. Give that Axolotl a Golden mutation and a Huge size (×2.5 × 5 = ×12.5, so $35K/s) and it still takes about 794 hours, close to 33 days. A plain Kitsune reaches $1T in about 556 seconds, just over 9 minutes.

This is the most practical use of the tool. If a zone, a pass or an item you want has a price in in-game money, the time-to-earn box tells you whether one more strong pet or a better mutation on the pet you have gets you there sooner. The calculator only does the division; prices come from the wiki pages for whatever you are saving for.

What a mutation, a size and a full pen do to one pet

Stacking is where the multipliers stop looking small. Take Kitsune, $1.8B/s at base. The table runs it through the combinations the calculator offers, using the wiki's multipliers and our multiplication.

Two more examples from real pets. An Oni Tiger ($600M/s) rolled Golden and Giant earns 600M × 2.5 × 3 = $4.5B/s, which is the same as a Golden Kitsune; with the 2x Money pass, $9B/s. A Scrambled Nuceodile, using the ×2.75 mutation from Dr. Scramble's Shop, earns $13.75B/s on its infobox income ($1.375B/s on the data module's $500M/s). And five plain Mutant Sharks earn 5 × $215M = $1.075B/s, or $3.87T an hour.

One thing the calculator will not do is stack two colour mutations. The wiki's formula says 'Mutation(s) Multiplier' but does not explain how two colours would combine, so the tool takes one mutation at a time.

Where the numbers stop

The calculator is exact arithmetic on published figures, and it is only as good as those figures. Four limits are worth knowing.

First, base weights are hidden. The wiki's size formula depends on each pet's secret base weight, which no source publishes, so the tool can apply Giant ×3, Huge ×5 or a multiplier you type, but cannot read kilograms off a pet card and convert them for you. Second, some infoboxes list no grow time; many event pets show none, and the tool then shows none rather than guessing. Third, the wiki had its own Income Calculator page for a few weeks: created on 22 September 2026 with a note that it was still in beta testing, it was blanked on 12 October 2026, so the infobox numbers this page quotes are the ones to check. Fourth, eggs can be stolen. That is the premise of the game, and no formula prices the risk of losing an 18-hour egg before it hatches.

If a base income changes on the wiki, the calculator changes with the next data refresh. The pet data behind it was read on 12 October 2026 and re-checked on 21 October, with 19 pets added from the wiki's pet data module on 22 October, one more, Bone Emperor, on 24 October, and 67 more on 25 October, from the module's edits of 23 and 24 October (revs 2618 to 2636).

Questions people ask

How much is an egg worth in Steal an Egg?
In money, an egg is worth its hatch reward the moment it hatches and its income per second after that. For 126 of the 136 infoboxes in our table that list a cash reward (data as of 25 October 2026), the reward is exactly 100 seconds of base income: Mutant Shark lists $215M/s and a $21.5b reward. The calculator then shows what the pet earns per minute, hour, 8 hours and 24 hours.
Does this calculator show trade values?
No. No source this site uses documents a trading system for Steal an Egg, so there is nothing to price. The tool measures earnings only. Our values guide explains why value lists for this game are guesswork.
Should I tick the 2x Money pass?
The tick box appears only when you pick a pet. Tick it if you own X2 MONEY! (399 Robux on the wiki's Gamepasses page, described as 'Earn x2 more money'), and it doubles the result. A typed income is used as it is, because the wiki does not say whether the figure on a pen already counts the pass.
