Steal an Egg calculator: income per second for any pet, mutation and size

This Steal an Egg calculator does one thing: it multiplies a pet's listed base income by the mutation multiplier and the size multiplier, exactly as the community wiki states the formula — final income = base income × mutation multiplier × size multiplier — so you can see what a Golden Giant Leviathan or a Rainbow Huge Kitsune earns before you commit a pen slot or a Mutation Shard to it. Every base income comes from the wiki's infoboxes as read on 13 September 2026; every multiplier from its Mutations page. The arithmetic is the only thing we add.

Use the tool, then read the notes below for what the formula does and does not cover.

Size

Income per second

$22K/s

Leviathan base $220K/s × mutation 1 × size 1.00. Base from the wiki infobox; multipliers from the Mutations page; arithmetic ours.

What the calculator uses

Base income is the pet's listed $/s for a normal-size, un-mutated hatch. Mutation multipliers are the seven from the wiki: Rainbow ×3.5, Parasite ×3, Fractured ×2.75, Golden ×2.5, Spirit Bloom ×2.5, Bloom ×1.25, Silver ×1.2, plus 'none' at ×1. Size can be entered three ways: as the Giant (×3) or Huge (×5) presets implied by the wiki's worked examples, as any multiplier you type, or as a weight ratio — actual weight divided by the pet's base weight — which the tool converts with the wiki's formula: ratio to the power of 37/60 up to 125×, and ratio to the power of 2/5 times 125 to the power of 13/60 above that.

The wiki's own checkpoints for the ratio mode are 100× ≈ 17×, 200× ≈ 23× and 1,000× ≈ 45×; the tool reproduces those.

What it cannot tell you

It does not know any pet's base weight, because the wiki does not publish them; the ratio mode needs you to estimate the ratio yourself from the kilograms on your card and a normal-size card of the same pet. It does not know hatch chances, because none are published. It does not include the 2x Money game pass — multiply the result by two yourself if you own it. And it treats the wiki's loosely written incomes ('$M/s' for Bladehide, '3B/s' for Nightflame) as best it can; Bladehide is listed at zero here because the wiki gives no figure.

Rift and event pets are included with their listed incomes even though they cannot be found in nests.

Examples from the wiki, reproduced

The Mutations page gives three examples for a $100/s pet: Normal $100/s; Golden + Giant = 100 × 2.5 × 3 = $750/s; Rainbow + Huge = 100 × 3.5 × 5 = $1,750/s. Enter any pet, set Golden and Giant, and the tool should show 7.5× its base; Rainbow and Huge, 17.5×.

Reading a pet card against the result

The card in your pen shows the pet's name, its mutation label if any, a weight in kilograms and a $/s figure. If the $/s on the card is higher than the tool's result for the same mutation, the difference is the size roll — divide the card's income by the tool's result to get the size multiplier the game applied, and you have a rough sense of how big your hatch was relative to normal. That back-calculation is the closest anyone outside the developer can get to the hidden base weight.

Why the formula has a bend at 125×

The wiki explains that below 125 times base weight the game rewards weight almost linearly on a log scale (exponent 37/60), and above it switches to a gentler exponent (2/5) with a constant that keeps the curve continuous. The practical meaning is in the wiki's phrasing: bigger eggs still continue to be worth more, but the gain per kilogram becomes smaller and smaller. Combine that with the Eggs page's note that bigger eggs slow you down, and the sweet spot for a contested nest is a large egg you can still outrun the guardian with — not the largest one there.

Ratio mode: turning kilograms into a multiplier

The wiki says each pet has a hidden base weight that correlates with its base income, and gives the formula in terms of the ratio between the actual weight and that base. Since the base weight is not published, ratio mode asks you for the ratio directly. A workable estimate: compare the kilograms on your pet's card with the kilograms on a normal-size card of the same species (yours or another player's) and divide. Enter that number, and the tool applies ratio^(37/60) up to 125 and ratio^(2/5) × 125^(13/60) beyond, matching the wiki's checkpoints of roughly 17× at 100, 23× at 200 and 45× at 1,000.

When the card and the tool disagree

Three reasons, in order of likelihood. The size roll: the card includes it, the tool only includes what you told it. The 2x Money pass: tick the box. A wiki infobox that is out of date: each pet page shows the revision date we read; if the game has changed a base income since, the tool is behind until the data is rebuilt. If none of those explains it, the contact page is the place to send the screenshot.

Limits and licence

The tool contains no hatch chances, no base weights and no values, because the register contains none. Its 128 base incomes derive from the Steal An Egg Wiki (CC BY-SA 3.0) and are shared under the same licence; the formula and multipliers are the wiki's; the interface and arithmetic are ours. It runs entirely in your browser and sends nothing anywhere.

Zone by zone: the pet the calculator is usually asked about

The pets people compare most are each zone's fast Cosmic against its slow Eternal. The tool makes that comparison in two clicks; here it is pre-computed for a Golden roll at normal size, so you can see the shape before you open the tool.

How the numbers are formatted

The tool prints income the way the wiki writes it — K, M, B, T suffixes with up to two decimals — so a result can be compared against a pet card at a glance. Inputs accept decimals for the multiplier and any positive number for the ratio. Nothing is rounded before the multiplication; only the display is.

Worked example: is a Golden Beluga Whale worth more than a plain Kraken?

Both are Abyss Ocean eggs. Beluga Whale lists $850K/s and grows in 12 minutes; Kraken lists $15M/s and grows in 2 hours 15 minutes. Set Beluga Whale, Golden, normal size: $2.125M/s. Set Kraken, none, normal size: $15M/s. On income the Kraken wins by seven times. On a full server the question is different: in the 135 minutes the Kraken sits exposed, the Beluga pen could have hatched eleven times, and any one of those hatches could roll Golden. The calculator gives you the income comparison; the grow-time column on the pets hub gives you the exposure; the decision is yours, and it changes with how many other players are on the server.

Keeping the data current

The pet list is generated from the wiki by scripts/build-pets-data.py; re-running it after the wiki changes updates every base income and the calculator together. The date each pet's data was read is shown on its page, and the site's editorial process page explains the schedule.

Questions people ask

How is Steal an Egg income calculated?
Final income = base income × mutation multiplier × size multiplier, per the wiki's Pets and Mutations pages. The calculator applies exactly that.
What are the size multipliers?
The wiki's examples imply Giant ×3 and Huge ×5. For any weight, the formula is ratio^(37/60) up to 125× base weight, then ratio^(2/5) × 125^(13/60).
Does the calculator include the 2x Money pass?
No. Double the result yourself if you own it.
Why is Bladehide zero?
The wiki lists its income as '$M/s' with no number, so the tool has no base to multiply.
Are the base incomes up to date?
They are the wiki infobox values read on 13 September 2026; each pet page shows its revision date. Rebuild the data when the wiki changes.
Can the calculator tell me my pet's size roll?
Indirectly: divide the income on your card by the tool's result for the same mutation at normal size, and the quotient is the size multiplier the game applied.
Does it work for Rift and event pets?
Yes, with their listed base incomes — though they cannot be found in nests.
Why does the tool show a pet at $0/s?
The wiki infobox for that pet has no usable income figure (Bladehide is written '$M/s'). The tool has nothing to multiply.
Does the calculator store anything?
No. It runs in your browser, keeps no history and sends nothing anywhere.
Can I use it for Angels & Demons pets?
Not yet — the sixteen pets named on that zone's wiki page had no income infoboxes on 13 September 2026, so they are not in the pet list. They will appear when the data is rebuilt after the wiki adds them.
