Steal an Egg update log: what changed, when, and where it is documented

No update schedule is predicted here. Every entry has a date from the Roblox API or a wiki page revision, read 2026-09-13.

A Steal an Egg update arrives faster than anyone documents it: the game was created on 25 July 2026, the Roblox API showed it last updated on 12 September 2026, and in between the community wiki has recorded a Rift event with 18 new pets, a twelfth zone, twenty-three event pets, a feeding event with its own mutation, a cherry-blossom incubator, and one update Roblox itself removed within a day. This page lists what is documented, with the date of the source, and nothing that is not.

If you are here for the next update's time: no source publishes one. The developers' group page carries no description, the wiki has no schedule page, and this site does not guess.

The log

Dates are the Roblox API's timestamps or the wiki revision that documented the change. A wiki edit date is the date the change was written down, not necessarily the day it went live.

Angels & Demons: the newest zone (documented 12 September 2026)

The wiki page describes a zone that transforms every night, alternating between an Angel theme and a Demon theme, each with its own eight pets, and a rare Merged form that combines both with extra luck while active. The speed requirement is 20,000,000,000 — nearly three times Titan Temple's 7B — and there are separate Angel and Demon guardians. A Secret Shrine is mentioned as hidden inside the biome.

Sixteen pets are named — Light: Light Dove, Winged Lamb, Sacred Moth, Holy Peacock, Pure Jellyfish, Centaur, Pegasus, ArchAngel; Darkness: Flame Sprite, Toro, Imp, Demon Hound, Gargoyle, RazorFang, Skeleton Horse, World Burner — but on 13 September 2026 none had an infobox with income or rarity. The pets hub will pick them up when the wiki adds the data.

The Rift event (documented 9 September 2026)

The largest documented addition: timed Overlord fights every 30 minutes for Boss Tokens, a Boss Shop with temporary boosts and a 10 % Mutation Shard, a Boss Mastery track with Fractured-mutation eggs, a permanent Rift Sacrifice (three random pets for one Rift Egg), and three banners — Riftborn, Riftbeasts, Shattered Rift — rotating roughly every three hours. Seventeen Rift pets have infoboxes, topped by Shattered Colossus at $3.5B/s. The Rift guide has all of it.

Event pets and the mutations that came with them

Twenty-three pets carry the Event tag, from Tung Tung Sahur ($100/s) to the Mecha bosses — Mecha Dreadscale $4B/s, Dreadscale $2B/s, Mecha Krakenoid $1B/s. The Eggs page says event and limited eggs come only from the Store or special events such as Admin Abuse, never from nests. Two mutations are tied to events: Parasite (×3) from the Parasite Egg in the feeding event, and Spirit Bloom (×2.5) and Bloom (×1.25) from the Sakura Incubator and Sakura event. The wiki does not date those events; the mutation page that records them was edited 9 September 2026.

The update Roblox removed

The wiki's In-game doom-scrolling page records an update that let players watch AI-generated and TikTok-sourced clips on a huge phone while on the Reels. It was removed by Roblox between 24 and 25 August 2026, and the page quotes the YouTuber KreekCraft calling the removal 'the most good thing Roblox has done'. It is the only documented case of a Steal an Egg feature being pulled by the platform rather than the developer.

Growth since launch, in official numbers

From creation on 25 July 2026 to 13 September 2026 — fifty days — the Roblox API reported 2,969,352,424 visits, 3,693,697 favourites and 2,000,966 concurrent players at the time of reading. The developer group, 'and Collect Rare Pets', had 59,656,939 members. Those figures are snapshots; they change every minute and we do not chart them.

How this log is maintained

Entries are added when a source in the register documents a change: the Roblox API's 'updated' timestamp for game updates, the wiki's page revisions for content. We re-read both on a schedule and note the read date on every page. We do not add entries from Discord screenshots, videos or other fan sites, and we do not predict dates.

Documented changes since launch, dated by the Roblox API and wiki edits. Chart: Steal an Egg Hub, from the Steal An Egg Wiki infoboxes (CC BY-SA 3.0, read 13 September 2026) and the Roblox Games API (read 17 September 2026).

What the wiki documented in the game's first seven weeks

As of 13 September 2026 the community wiki held 171 main-namespace pages, of which 128 are pet infoboxes, and reported 810 total pages, 168 articles, 1,468 edits and 103 active users. The infoboxes cover eleven zones of eight pets, seventeen Rift pets and twenty-three event pets. The newest zone, Angels & Demons, had a page but no infoboxes for its sixteen named pets. Thirty-five infoboxes have no grow time, one (Bladehide) has no usable income figure, and the 2x growth speed pass has no legible price.

How to check for an update yourself

Three sources move before any fan site does, this one included.

  1. The Roblox game page — its 'Updated' date is the developer's own push; the API returned 2026-09-12T17:02Z at our last read.
  2. The wiki's Recent Changes — a new zone or pet page usually appears within a day of going live; page edit dates are shown on our log.
  3. The developer group 'and Collect Rare Pets' on Roblox — its description was empty at our last read, so it is a weaker signal than the other two.

Reading an edit date

A wiki edit date is when a volunteer wrote the change down, not when the developers shipped it. The Rift Event page was edited on 9 September 2026 and the game's Roblox 'updated' timestamp is 12 September; the Rift may have gone live before the 9th. Where this log gives a wiki date it says so, and where it gives a Roblox date it says that.

Known gaps we are watching

Angels & Demons pet infoboxes; the 35 missing grow times; Bladehide's income; the 2x growth speed pass price; whether the Rift event has an end date; whether any trading system exists. Each will be added to the relevant page the day a register source documents it, with the date.

What each documented change means for how you play

Angels & Demons moves the ceiling: the 20B gate is the new endgame target and the sixteen pets are the new unknowns. The Rift event adds a second progression loop that runs on a 30-minute clock alongside the five-minute nest cycle, and it is the only source of Fractured mutations and of the four highest-income obtainable pets. The Sakura and feeding events explain the three mutations you will never roll from a normal egg. The removed Reels feature explains a gap you may see in older videos. And the 12 September update timestamp tells you the game is being changed roughly weekly, which is why every page here carries a read date.

Update cadence, as far as the record shows

Between the wiki's earliest page revision we hold (31 August 2026, the wiki home page) and 12 September, the wiki recorded the Boosts, Gamepasses, Eggs, Pets, Area, Mutations, Rift Event and Angels & Demons pages — eight system pages in thirteen days. The Roblox 'updated' timestamp on 12 September is a single point, not a pattern; the API keeps only the latest. Anyone quoting a weekly update day is inferring it, and this log will not.

What this log deliberately leaves out

Discord announcements we cannot verify, countdown timers, leaked pet lists, and anything phrased as 'players report'. Each of those has appeared on other sites about this game and each has been wrong at least once in the seven weeks since launch. The cost of leaving them out is that this page is sometimes a day behind; the benefit is that nothing on it has to be retracted. When a change is documented by the Roblox API or by a wiki revision with a visible edit history, it goes on the table above with that date and that source, and a note is added to the page it affects — the zones page for a new zone, the pets hub for new infoboxes, the codes page if a code system ever appears.

What was the latest update?
The Angels & Demons zone — 20B speed, night-shifting Angel and Demon themes with eight pets each, and a Merged form — documented on the wiki on 12 September 2026.
What is the Rift event?
A boss event documented 9 September 2026: rifts every 30 minutes, Boss Tokens and Shop, Boss Mastery, Rift Sacrifice and three rotating banners with 18 new pets.
Why was the phone/Reels feature removed?
The wiki records that Roblox removed the in-game doom-scrolling update on 24–25 August 2026; it does not record Roblox's reason.
How do I know if Steal an Egg updated today?
Check the 'Updated' date on the official Roblox page. Our last read showed 12 September 2026.
Is the Rift event still on?
The wiki does not give an end date. The Rift Event page was last edited 9 September 2026.
Where is the official changelog?
There is none in the register. The Roblox page's 'Updated' date and the wiki's page revisions are the only dated records.
Are the Angels & Demons pets in the pets list yet?
No — sixteen names are documented but no incomes or rarities as of 13 September 2026.
What happened to the Roblox game Steal an Egg?
Nothing has taken it down: the Roblox Games API showed 1,819,798 players online and 3.75 billion visits on 17 September 2026. The one documented removal is a feature, not the game — Roblox pulled the in-game Reels/phone update on 24–25 August 2026.
Did Steal an Egg get removed from Roblox?
No. The game is live (Roblox API, 17 September 2026). What was removed was the Reels 'doom-scrolling' feature, taken out by Roblox on 24–25 August 2026 per the wiki's record.
Why can't I play Steal an Egg on Roblox?
The game itself is live; a 'can't join' problem is usually a full server, a Roblox outage or an under-13 account restriction. Check Roblox's status page and the game's page (roblox.com/games/107778070777162) rather than assuming a takedown.
Is Steal an Egg still being updated?
Yes — the Roblox API's 'updated' timestamp moved on 12 September 2026 and again on 17 September 2026 (04:13 UTC), and the wiki records edits through 12 September.
