Steal an Egg mutation calculator: every multiplier on one pet, including Scrambled

Multipliers and how each mutation is obtained are quoted from the wiki's Mutations, Dr. Scramble Event and Rift Event pages, re-read 2026-10-21. Base incomes are from the wiki pet infoboxes, re-read the same day. Every income figure on this page is our arithmetic on those numbers.

This Steal an Egg mutation calculator takes one pet and shows what it earns under every mutation at once, so you can see the gain before you spend a Mutation Shard or a Scrambled Mutation on it. The headline numbers: Rainbow ×3.5 is still the top multiplier, and the new Scrambled mutation pays ×2.75, level with Fractured and above Golden.

You can start from a pet in the list, or from the income your pet card already shows. The notes below explain where each multiplier comes from, how to read the results, and the few questions the wiki leaves open.

The nine rows in the results table

The calculator's output always has the same nine rows: no mutation, then the eight colour mutations the wiki's Mutations page lists. Each row multiplies the same starting income by one multiplier. The 'gain' column is that row minus the no-mutation row, which is the number that matters when you are deciding whether a mutation is worth chasing.

The third column below is the wiki's own wording for how each mutation is obtained, shortened but not reworded. Three of the eight are ordinary hatch rolls with published weights. The other five come from events, eggs or consumables.

Percentages are the easiest way to compare rows, because they do not depend on the pet. Silver adds a fifth, Golden adds one and a half times the base, Rainbow adds two and a half times. On a pet worth $5B/s the Silver gain alone is $1B/s, more than many pets earn in total, which is why the calculator prints the gain in dollars as well.

How much does a Scrambled pet make?

Scrambled is the newest entry on the Mutations page, described there as a 'poison like effect' that is 'currently obtainable via Dr. Scramble's Shop' and 'can be applied to an egg with a 10% chance'. At ×2.75 it multiplies a pet's income by exactly the same factor as Fractured.

So a Scrambled pet makes 2.75 times its listed base income, before size and before the 2x Money pass. The table works that out openly for five high-income pets from the wiki's infoboxes. The last column is the line the calculator prints for a 10 % application: one chance in ten of adding the gain shown.

Take RazorFang, the Secret pet from Angels & Demons with a listed base of $350M/s. Scrambled: 350M × 2.75 = $962.5M/s, a gain of $612.5M/s. Centaur has the same $350M/s base, so its Scrambled figure is identical. Skeleton Horse at $1.3B/s becomes 1.3B × 2.75 = $3.575B/s. Nuceodile, the Secret from Dr. Scramble's Lab with a $5B/s base, becomes $13.75B/s.

Horizontal bar chart of one RazorFang's income under each mutation: none $350M/s, Silver $420M/s, Bloom $437.5M/s, Golden and Spirit Bloom $875M/s, Fractured and Scrambled $962.5M/s, Parasite $1.05B/s, Rainbow $1.225B/s.

Working backwards from the number on your pet card

The second mode exists for a common question: 'my pet makes 25B without the Scrambled mutation, how much would it make with it?' You do not need to know the pet's base income or its size for this. Type the figure the card shows, pick the mutation it already has, and the tool divides that multiplier out. Whatever is left still includes the size and is then multiplied by each mutation in turn.

The input accepts the game's shorthand: 25B, 350M, 1.2K, or a plain number. The division is the only step, so the results are exact to the multipliers on the wiki.

The table shows why the existing mutation matters. Three pets that all show $25B/s today land in very different places once Scrambled replaces what they have.

Can you stack mutations?

A colour mutation stacks with size; that part is documented. The wiki's formula is final income = base income × mutation(s) multiplier × size multiplier, and its own examples use it: Golden + Giant on a $100/s pet is 100 × 2.5 × 3 = $750/s, and Rainbow + Huge is 100 × 3.5 × 5 = $1,750/s. That is where the calculator's Giant ×3 and Huge ×5 come from.

Two colour mutations on one pet are a different matter. The formula's wording says 'Mutation(s) Multiplier', with an optional plural, but the page never shows two colours on one pet and never says how they would combine. The calculator therefore applies one colour at a time and does not multiply Scrambled by Golden or Fractured by Rainbow.

Size above the two named sizes is covered by the typed-multiplier box. The wiki gives the size formula in terms of a hidden base weight: (actual ÷ base weight) to the power 37/60 up to 125 times the base weight, with diminishing returns above that. Its checkpoints are about ×17 at 100 times base weight, ×23 at 200 times and ×45 at 1,000 times. Base weights are not published, so you type the size multiplier rather than a kilogram figure.

Combined, the numbers grow fast. Our arithmetic on Skeleton Horse ($1.3B/s base):

  • Rainbow, normal size: 1.3B × 3.5 = $4.55B/s.
  • Scrambled + Giant: 1.3B × 2.75 × 3 = $10.725B/s.
  • Rainbow + Huge: 1.3B × 3.5 × 5 = $22.75B/s.
  • Rainbow + Huge with the 2x Money pass: $22.75B × 2 = $45.5B/s.
  • Nuceodile, Scrambled + Giant with the pass: 5B × 2.75 × 3 × 2 = $82.5B/s.

Fractured and Scrambled: two routes, one 10 % chance

Both ×2.75 mutations arrive the same way: you apply an item to an egg and it works one time in ten. That is why the calculator adds a separate line for them rather than treating them like hatch rolls.

The wiki pages describe the two routes in slightly different words, and the table keeps each page's wording.

Two naming differences are worth knowing. The Mutations page calls the Scrambled seller 'Dr. Scramble's Shop', while the event page names it the Experiment Shop, found beneath the pet menu. And the Mutations page says 'Mutation Consumable' where the Rift Event page says Mutation Shard; the Rift Event page itself says only that the shard applies 'the mutation', while the Updates page's Update 3 notes name it: the Boss Shop offers 'a chance to apply the new Fractured Mutation' to placed eggs. The newer Dr. Scramble's Laboratory page, which covers the event's second part, does not list the Scrambled item at all, so the wiki leaves open whether it is still on sale.

Because each try succeeds one time in ten, the calculator states the result as 'a 1-in-10 chance of +X/s' rather than folding the 10 % into a single figure. Our arithmetic shows why: on RazorFang the gain is $612.5M/s, so ten tries average out to one success, but any single try is far more likely to change nothing. Spend Samples or tokens on your highest-income egg, since the 10 % is the same on every pet and the gain is not.

Walk up to an egg in your pen and interact with it — the shard has a 10% chance to apply the mutation to that egg.

Three things the wiki leaves open

The calculator is only as complete as its source, and three common questions have no documented answer.

The wiki created its own Income Calculator page on 22 September 2026 with a note that it was still in beta testing and results might not always be fully accurate; that page was blanked on 12 October 2026. This tool never copied it; it uses only the multipliers and base incomes printed on the wiki's pages, and shows the multiplication so you can check it by hand.

First, there is no published hatch chance for any individual pet, so the tool cannot tell you how likely a Rainbow RazorFang is. It can only say that Rainbow, Golden and Silver carry roll weights of 1, 4 and 6 out of 100 on a hatch. Read literally, that is an 11-in-100 chance of one of the three and 89 in 100 of none.

Second, people search for an effect for collecting '100 percent' Rainbow pets. The wiki documents no such bonus, so the calculator does not model one. A Rainbow pet is ×3.5 on its own income and nothing more is recorded.

Third, the Sakura mutations are marked not currently active on the Mutations page. Spirit Bloom and Bloom stay in the table so you can price a pet you already own, but the Sakura Incubator steps there are flagged '(NOT CURRENTLY ACTIVE)'. For the full background on each mutation, the size formula and how auras look in game, read the mutations guide; for a single pet with a single mutation, the main income calculator is quicker.

Questions people ask

What is the Golden mutation multiplier in Steal an Egg?
×2.5. The wiki's Mutations page lists Golden at x2.5 with a roll weight of 4 out of 100. On RazorFang's $350M/s base that is $875M/s at normal size, the same as Spirit Bloom.
How rare is the Rainbow mutation?
The wiki gives Rainbow a roll weight of 1 out of 100 and calls it an extremely rare hatch roll. It is the highest multiplier on the page at ×3.5.
Is there an effect for 100 percent Rainbow?
The wiki does not document one. Its Mutations page gives Rainbow's multiplier and roll weight only, and mentions no collection bonus or extra effect, so the calculator does not include one.
Is Fractured or Scrambled better than Golden?
In income, yes, slightly: both are ×2.75 against Golden's ×2.5, which is 10 % more on the same pet. On Skeleton Horse that is $3.575B/s against $3.25B/s. Fractured and Scrambled pay exactly the same as each other.
Does the 2x Money pass multiply mutated income?
The Gamepasses page describes X2 MONEY! (399 Robux) as 'Earn x2 more money' and does not single out mutations. The calculator applies it as ×2 on the final income when you tick the box.
