Steal an Egg speed: every way to get it and every gate that needs it

Quoted from the wiki's Biomes page (edited 20 September 2026, read 21 October 2026), which replaced the old Area page. The older Zones page gives several of the same gates with a tilde (~40,000, ~170,000, ~700,000, ~2,500,000) and Prehistoric as ~17,000,000–18,000,000, and names different guardians for two zones; both are shown where they differ.

Every hatch pays a one-off speed bonus (and cash) listed in the pet's infobox. Early, it is the main source: three Forest hatches (Chicken +420, Dog +460, Bird +500 on their infoboxes) clear Lake's 900 gate with no training; the Forest zone page lists Dog at +480 instead. Lake's Axolotl pays +4k on a five-minute egg and the Leviathan +5k on a 25-minute one; Desert's Camel +9k on a 45-second egg, Fennec +8.1k on 30 seconds, Jerboa +7.2k on 20 seconds. Those Desert rewards, repeated, are most of the way to Jungle's 40K.

The rewards keep scaling with the zone: Cerberus +42k, El Maja +180k, Ankylosaurus +330k, Bronto +300k, Mosasaurus +600k, Cosmic Gecko +1m, Cosmic Skeleton Boss +1.6m, Unicorn +2.4m, Crustacia +2.7m, Koi +4.2m, Kitsune +6.5m, Nightflame +6.8M. Because the reward is paid per hatch, the cheap fast eggs of the current zone are a renewable speed source: hatch, collect, repeat on the five-minute nest cycle.

Training on the treadmill at your base raises speed; upgrading the treadmill raises how much you get. The wiki's Biomes page tips say to upgrade your treadmill to make reaching later biomes easier, and the Pets page says income is spent on higher-level pens, treadmills and trails. Roblox's badge data put the 'Angelic Treadmill!' badge at 1.0 % on 21 October 2026 (0.5 % on 13 September; 'Hatched Divine!' stood at 0.4 % on 21 October), each the share of players who earned that badge in the past day.

The wiki's treadmill data (edited 17 October 2026) lists eleven models, from the free base Treadmill at +2 speed per step to the Astral Treadmill at +3k per step for 15Qa $, with the Demonic (+1k, 50T $) and Angelic (+2k, 1Qa $) just below it. The treadmills guide has the full table, the price-per-speed comparison and the step arithmetic for every gate. Per the Pets page, the same income pays for all three upgrades: pens, treadmills and trails.

Trails are bought with income and, per the wiki's Trail page, multiply what you gain on the treadmill and give no extra speed off it; only one can be equipped at a time. Eleven are listed, from the Grey Trail (1.5×, 100 $) to the Moonbloom Trail (20×, 5Q $). The Divine Trail (14×, 300T $) has its own badge, 'Divine Trail!', which stood at 1.1 % on 21 October 2026 (1.0 % on 13 September), the share of players who earned it in the past day.

The wiki's Speed page lists three ways to obtain speed: a free gift, running on treadmills, and buying Speed with Robux. The gift pays 10,000 speed once you have liked the game, favourited it and joined the community group, which on its own reaches Desert's 10K gate.

On the Robux side, the wiki's Boosts page lists a full price table for speed multipliers, from ×2 for 3 Robux to ×4K for 1,375 Robux. The Gamepasses page prices ×4, ×8 and ×16 lower (7, 20 and 29 Robux), so the two pages disagree. Neither page says how long a multiplier lasts or whether it multiplies your Speed or the Speed you gain while training. At the top end each doubling of the multiplier costs well under double the price: ×4K is 1,375 Robux against 949 for ×2K.

The wiki's Biomes page says it twice: each biome has progressively higher speed requirements, with bigger eggs slowing you down and requiring even more than what is listed; and having enough Speed to enter a biome does not necessarily mean you have enough Speed to safely return with a large Egg. The Eggs page adds why: the larger the egg, the higher the value multiplier, but it will be heavier, and you will be slower.

So the working rule is: the gate is what you need to walk in empty-handed. To walk out with the egg you came for, train past it, and train further for a big one. The Biomes page tips finish the thought: later biomes have much stronger guardians, plan your route before stealing an egg, and treat Angels & Demons as an end-game biome because of its 20B Speed requirement.

Forest: hatch Chicken, Dog, Bird (50 seconds of grow time in total) for 1,380 speed on their infoboxes and enter Lake. Lake: Axolotls at +4k each; three cover the 10K Desert gate. Desert: Camel, Fennec and Jerboa are 20–45-second eggs paying +7.2k to +9k; a handful reach Jungle's 40K. From Jungle the gaps widen (40K to 170K to 700K to 2.5M) and the treadmill has to carry more of the load, with the zone's top rewards (King Snake +18k, Ice Dragon +32k, Lava Dragon +60k) as milestones rather than the plan.

Cosmic's 700M gate is the biggest single jump on the ladder: 39 times Prehistoric's 18M. Past it, the hatch rewards run into the millions (Cosmic Gecko +1m on a four-minute egg), and the last three gates, 2.5B, 7B and 20B, are each under four times the one before.

It does not change income: the wiki's formula is base rate times mutation times size, with no speed term. It is not the tool for stopping a pursuer either; bear traps are (free, three at a time, a seven-second hold on whoever steps in, none in the safe zone). And no amount of it makes an event egg appear in a nest: the Eggs page says limited eggs come only from the Store or special events. Speed is a key, not a multiplier.

Ignoring the treadmill entirely, the wiki's hatch rewards get you a long way through the early gates. Our arithmetic on the infobox figures:

Two sentences from the Biomes page are worth quoting exactly, because they are the rule most players learn by losing an egg.

How many steps a second you take on a treadmill; whether treadmills have to be bought in order; how much a given egg size slows you; how long a Robux speed multiplier lasts. The wiki lists treadmill and trail prices and their per-step figures (the treadmills guide sets them out), but none of these four. When this site says train past the gate, that is the wiki's advice; how far past is something the source does not say.

For the first four zones, every egg's listed reward, so you can see which eggs are the farm and which are the milestone.

Your current speed against the next gate. Everything on this page reduces to closing that gap (by hatch rewards and the free gift first, then the treadmill, then trails, and only then by Robux) and to remembering that the gap is bigger than it looks the moment you pick up a large egg.
